Inground Pool Installation Photos

To better understand what will be happening in your backyard, we have a few photographs of actual construction of a pool we installed in August of 2005.  These photos are not taken from a magazine or brochure.   It is really us doing the work!

Day 1

The excitement begins on the morning of the dig.  The backhoe will dig the hole for the pool to exacting specifications.  Here Jeremy is using a laser to guide the digging.  It is important to get the hole perfect for the liner to fit properly.

Day 2 and 3

The second and third days of construction are busy ones.  The galvanized steel panels and deck supports are set and leveled.  After the panels are in position, the cement is laid for the footing.  This footing sets the panels into permanent place. The sand arrives for backfill.  We backfill with washed fill sand.  This helps protect the integrity of the steel wall panels.

Day4

No construction occurs this day as we give the footing time to cure.

Day 5 and 6

After the overdig has been backfilled, it is time to put on the cement deck.  The homeowner wanted a deck to match the brick of their home.  We used a terra cotta colored cement to add dazzle to this pool deck.

Day 7

This is the day the pool-krete bottom is laid.  Jeremy, Stephen, and Kenny work hard to get the bottom smooth and flat. The pool-krete bottom provides an excellent surface for the liner to lay on.  After the bottom is laid, the liner goes in.  Notice how smooth and wrinkle-free this liner is.

Day 8

The final step in the construction of this pool is putting on the electric safety cover.  Again color was important to the homeowner.  The beige cover matches the home's exterior color.  And finally, Luke, the homeowner's son, is the first one to dive in!
